Our Invitation

Two human profiles made of gears communicating.

Our Approach

Equality at Home is a coaching and educational program focused on personal growth, relationships, self-awareness, and creating greater balance within the home.

The foundation of Equality at Home was influenced by founder Glaucia Martin-Porath’s graduate training and professional background in drama therapy, role theory, and the study of role acquisition and role flexibility.

Drawing from this background, Glaucia developed a coaching framework that helps participants explore the different roles they hold in their lives, recognize patterns that may no longer serve them, and develop greater flexibility and intentionality in how they respond to everyday situations and relationships.

Our approach incorporates ideas and strategies from:

  • Creative and experiential learning
  • Role theory and storytelling
  • Narrative and reflective practices
  • Behavioral and cognitive principles
  • Mindfulness and self-awareness practices
  • Equity and diversity perspectives
  • Humanistic and personal-development approaches
  • Adult learning and design thinking

We have also drawn inspiration from perspectives on personal growth and mind-body awareness, including ideas discussed in Dr. Bruce Lipton’s The Biology of Belief.

Our programs are designed to encourage reflection, learning, communication, and intentional change. We continually evaluate and refine our educational and coaching methods to better support participants in reaching their personal and relationship goals.

Most importantly, we listen to you. Equality at Home is built around the belief that greater awareness creates greater choice. By becoming more conscious of the roles, expectations, and patterns that shape your everyday life, you can begin making choices that better reflect your values and the person you want to be.

Personal growth is an ongoing process. As you examine inherited expectations and preconceived roles, you can decide which ones still fit and which ones you would like to redefine.

And when parents practice greater self-awareness, flexibility, and intentionality themselves, they can model those skills for their children.

Our Invitation

Our Invitation

Our Invitation

Two people dancing with proper footwear indoors.

The best part of this transformation? You get to become the happy, connected, self-realized person you’ve always wanted to be. By taking this step for yourself, you’ll shift the patterns in your family. You change the dance step and everyone in your family will start to move with you.

Can you imagine a life where all the domestic chores and responsibilities are equal and fair?

What if you had time to invest in your dreams because you no longer carry the mental load alone?

Can you imagine having a shared vision for your family, where everyone can thrive?

Here's what you can accomplish by joining this program:

  1. Understand how we take on our family roles.
  2. Design new roles for yourself that are equal, healthy, and fulfilling.
  3. Create a road map for replacing the old roles with the new ones.
  4. Establish new structures for equality in your family and create a family manual.
  5. Track and celebrate your new family dynamics.
  6. Automate and maintain your equal partnership throughout life’s challenges.
  7. Get support for your personal growth:

  • Live coach dedicated to your group.
  • Participate in a supportive group that witnesses each others’ process of transformation.

Here is an example of one personal goal you might be working on during this course:

  • My partner and I have a shared vision and plan on how to handle the family's mental load, everyday chores, childcare, child-raising, and dreams for the future.
